ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany County will be hosting a ceremony to honor local veterans for their service. It will be held at 10 a.m. in Crossgates Mall on June 14, which is Flag Day. The honorees will be James Gaige and Elmo Kearsing.Gaige served in the United States Army as a Specialist 4th class E4, and also served in the Navy Seabees Reserves as a BUC Builder Chief E7. FLORISSANT, Mo. - An investigation is underway after a man was fatally shot Thursday evening at a home in Florissant. The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Derhake Road. Investigators say a man suffered several gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries. Suncor Energy’s oil refinery in Commerce City experiences more malfunctions that release toxic chemicals into the air than other similarly sized plants in the United States, the Environmental Protection Agency found in a report released Friday.Inadequacies in preventative maintenance, testing and inspections of various control systems and electrical equipment lead to excessive amounts of sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide being released into the air, the EPA found. The refinery was compared to 11 other plants in the United States with the same production capacity, the report said.The report will be used by the EPA and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment during inspections so regulators can target specific equipment at the refinery, said KC Becker, the EPA’s Regin 8 director. A man was shot and killed in the driveway of a Hollywood Hills home early Wednesday morning, and now a famous actor has revealed that he and his wife witnessed the shooting unfold from their balcony. Two men have been arrested in connection with the carjacking of a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver in Burbank.According to the Burbank Police Department, officers responded to the 1500 block of North Naomi Street around 4:25 p.m. on Tuesday regarding a report of a carjacking. The victim told officers that he was delivering an order to a customer when he was confronted by two men in an alley who assaulted him, held him at gunpoint and demanded his keys. “Fearing for his life, the victim complied with the suspects' demands and handed over his keys,” the Burbank Police Department said in a statement. “The suspects then fled in the victim’s vehicle.” The suspects were not able to be located until Thursday afternoon, when investigators found the victim’s vehicle near the 6500 block of Radford Avenue in North Hollywood.
