Sinkhole repaired on Highway 1 near Limekiln State Park in Monterey County

(BCN) -- While State Highway 1 remains closed after rock slides caused by this winter's heavy rains, crews have repaired a sinkhole on the highway several miles south of the ongoing closure.Caltrans officials said the sinkhole appeared Sunday one mile south of Nacimiento-Fergusson Road. DALLAS (AP) — Authorities in Texas say three people were killed and eight people were injured when gunfire erupted following a local festival. The shooting in Fort Worth happened at about 11:47 p.m. Monday in the Como neighborhood on the city’s southwest side, just hours after the end of the neighborhood’s annual ComoFest.Police said shots were fired into a crowd of hundreds of people. Responding officers found multiple victims in a parking lot, including one pronounced dead at the scene. Other victims were transported to local hospitals by ambulance or private vehicles. One of the 11 victims is a juvenile, police said. No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning. Kingston based Rock and Roll Band The Glorious Sons have announced a new tour starting in September, with one of their key concert dates taking place in their hometown.The band is slated to start its tour on September 6th in Pittsburgh and will have a total of 57 shows. DENVER (KDVR) -- A townhome complex in Aurora caught fire Monday night, with a resident and officer sent to the hospital.The fire was in the 17000 block of Rice Circle around 10 p.m., Aurora Fire Rescue said. Several units and multiple floors of the homes were on fire. Two homes destroyed, firefighter burned in 2-alarm firework fire As of 10:39 p.m., crews said the fire had crossed over into other units and flames were beyond the structure.
